Sort Them Ducks understands the appeal of putting things in order, then makes the process so pleasant that it becomes suspiciously easy to lose track of what you meant to do next. I found it cozy, fun, and intuitive from the start. The central task is wonderfully clear: sort the ducks, watch the mess shrink, and enjoy the growing sense that the place is finally coming together. That gradual change is the real reward. At first, the scattered ducks make the store feel like a small, silly catastrophe. As I sort them away, the clutter gives way to order a little at a time. Seeing that progress build creates a genuine feeling of happiness and accomplishment. It is a modest pleasure, but a surprisingly effective one. There is no need to chase a complicated story or wrestle with a dense set of rules; the satisfaction comes from a simple job becoming visibly more complete. The game is particularly well suited to the fantasy of being a more organized person. Many of us would like to keep life tidy, but daily routines can drain the energy needed to do it. Sort Them Ducks offers a gentle substitute: the comforting rhythm of sorting without bringing the real-world chores along with it. It is also a good way to give your mind a rest from everyday problems. For me, its appeal lies in how little it asks emotionally while still giving each bit of progress a clear, pleasing payoff. There is a catch, and it is worth stating plainly: this is dangerously easy to keep playing. One more duck, one more small patch of mess cleared, and suddenly the task you actually needed to finish has been postponed again. That is not a flaw in the sorting itself, but it does make the game a poor choice when you have urgent work waiting. Its relaxed pace is ideal when you have room to unwind, and rather less ideal when you are meant to be doing something else. I highly recommend Sort Them Ducks to anyone looking for an easygoing way to relax, especially if the thought of organizing sounds appealing but the effort of doing it for real does not. Just be careful about starting when a deadline is looming. The ducks are patient. Your urgent tasks may not be.
