Looking for a platformer with a lot of variety? Fallen Leaf is a great choice.
It’s a mix of Mega Man when it comes to movement and Kirby in terms of how the levels are structured.
There are plenty of secrets and several different characters, each with their own way of attacking and moving, and you can freely switch between them during a level.
I think the game’s only real weakness is that, because of the large number of characters, you probably won’t play as some of them very much. At some point, you’ll likely find 2–4 characters that are the “best” for your playstyle and end up ignoring the rest. Even so, it’s still very much worth it, since which characters are the best can vary from person to person and will probably change as you unlock more characters.
And for those who like to complete everything, the achievements are generally easy. There are only a few secrets that can be a bit annoying to find on your own, but nothing a Steam guide can’t solve.
